An experienced distance runner and endurance maniac, Gavin has accomplished 74 extreme physical challenges – from running 30 mile marathons each day for 30 days, to cycling over serious inclines of the Alps – always motivated by living with type 1 diabetes. He just completed 25 marathons in one month!

Dr. Korey Hood is a clinical health psychologist and Professor of Pediatrics and of Psychiatry at Stanford University. He’s lived with type 1 since he was a young adult and has a lot to say, especially about teens with T1D.

Stacey talks to professional snowboarder and founder of ROI Sean Busby who lives with T1D and Lupus. It took Sean a long time to let an accurate type 1 diagnosis and even longer to determine he has lupus. He shares the story of that journey, explains how he got back to competitive snowboarding and why he started Riding on Insulin.
We find out more about ROI from Mollie Busby. When she and Sean aren't skiing and snowboarding and teaching kids how to love the outdoors, they live in a Yurt in Montana!
